How are drones used to monitor the city?

In Vilnius, more and more work is being done with drones – monitoring the condition of buildings, filling containers, and, recently, snow removal, which is particularly relevant.

Yes, drones do not remove rubbish or clear snow themselves, but the use of this technology helps to:

Quickly inspect large areas;

Quickly solve emerging problems;

Organize work more efficiently and purposefully.

There are currently four drone stations in Vilnius, located in Šnipiškės, Fabijoniškės, Jeruzalė, and Lazdynėliai. In order to continue to monitor a larger part of the city, there are plans to install eight more stations of this type. ID Vilnius is responsible for their installation, maintenance, and data processing.
